Hello, I'm Caroline Sprott, lipedema health influencer, speaker, blogger, something like a model and lipedema girl for everything. The name probably explains the shop name very quickly. But where does the power come from? Who is the sprat? And why is this shop so incredibly super-duper-great? Yes, I would like to know that myself. But I'll try my best to tell you everything you want to know.

 

What is a Power Sprotte?

That's basically you, or rather, that's you when I'm done with you. But first I'll start, I'm basically the original sprat

In 2010/2011 I was diagnosed with lipedema in my legs, my arms were soon to follow, and so at the age of 24 I was faced with an immense abyss full of fears for the future, frustration and despair. It was difficult for me to accept the slowly deteriorating situation, as I was diligent and loyal to therapy and did everything I could to prevent this progression. Now that's just how it was and I had to think of something to save myself from this abyss before he pulled me into himself.

With the last of my energy, I started my fashionable self-therapy, in which I dressed every day to match my medically necessary compression. Dealing positively with this negative source of energy made me stronger and taught me how much I have control over myself, motivating myself and always reminding myself how strong I am.

 

Oh, you're that fashion blogger!

Yes, exactly. With my blog Lipödem Mode, I founded the now largest patient-led website in 2015 with all kinds of knowledge and interesting articles on self-management for lipedema and lymphedema and generally in compression. The topic of fashion alone quickly became too small for me. Guest authors and manufacturers have worked with me to make this site a very important resource for other affected individuals. On Instagram and Facebook, I regularly provide outfit inspirations for various flat-knit compression colors - who needs sleep?

 

 

Why did you open a shop now?

I am a fundamentally cheerful person and have always wished for a few motivating everyday brighteners that would give me energy. Unfortunately, I've been waiting in vain for the last few years for a shop like this that specializes precisely in my target group. What other choice do I have than to take matters into my own hands and create all the beautiful things for myself and all the other fighters that I so desperately wanted?

The Power in the name stands for the positive energy that should flow into your life through the products. I am sending you all my strength so that you can give your therapy full steam. This gives me a joy that cannot be outweighed by anything and that is what counts in life, right?

And with your joy about your order, energy comes back into my system and the bill fits.

This shop is unique and created especially by me for you. Here you are in a protected space where you, as a person affected, but above all as a woman or man behind the illness, feel understood and in good company.
